Yes, our lasers are authorized by Health Canada with an excellent safety profile. Lasers work by selectively targeting dark, coarse hairs while leaving the surrounding skin undamaged. Due to advances in technology, even dark skinned patient prone to hyperpigmentation, can be safely treated. All treatments are medically directed by our in-house physicians, and our expert aesthetic technicians boast a safety record spanning years and even decades.
There are three hair growth cycles, and laser treatments must be scheduled to catch the “anagen” growth phase, which occurs every 4-6 weeks. Following your consultation with one of our EverYoung cosmetic doctors, a treatment plan will be put in place based on the density of the hair being treated. Typically 6-10 treatments are required to target active hair follicles and achieve the best results.
Side effects are minimal, but may include a slight redness or swelling that resembles a mild sunburn, and typically subsides within 24 hours.
All areas of the face and body (except the eye area) may be treated with Laser Hair Removal. Even the most sensitive areas, including the bikini, respond well to treatment with no painful or residual effects.
